On Monday, the reports of the telecommunication company Apple working on an electric car started taking over social media. When the Tesla CEO, Elon Musk, got the gist of this new product he didn’t hesitate to tell the people that he had planned on selling Tesla to Apple during the company’s darkest times but sadly his offer was paid no heed to by Apple’s CEO, Tim Cook.

The story came to be known by the people all over social media when Musk replied to a tweet regarding Apple’s new self-driving car. In a series of tweets, the brains behind SpaceX told the people a lot of things that they were not aware of.

Musk claimed that in the darkest days of Tesla when the Model 3 Sedan did not get the attention he had expected so he considered selling the company to Apple. Musk even added that the Apple CEO, Tim Cook refused to have a meeting with him back in 2017 when Musk wanted him to acquire all his hard work.

He tweeted that: “During the darkest days of the Model 3 program, I reached out to Tim Cook to discuss the possibility of Apple acquiring Tesla (for 1/10 of our current value). He refused to take the meeting.” Elon had even informed the investors in Tesla that the company was in “production hell” because of the issues at its battery factory in Nevada.

He also went on saying that Tesla already uses some of the materials that Apple is planning to use in its vehicle which will be produced in 2024.
