The President and CEO of one of the largest hospitals in the US rejected to wear a mask and said in his statement that he had already faced Covid-19 that’s why he does not need to wear a face mask.
The staff of the hospital is shocked.
According to CNN, an email was sent from the nurse of the hospital Sanford Health, in which she says that the CEO of the hospital directed the 50,000 employees of the hospital and said that, he will not wear a face mask.
The President of the hospital directed the employees and said that “he had faced the coronavirus and if he wears a mask means that he is spreading the untruthful message that one who had faced the virus will also able to be re-infected or transmit it to the others”.
The person who had faced the coronavirus should not wear a mask?
The scientists and the doctors have a lot of evidence that one who is infected from any virus will not be able to re-infected or transmit it to the others but it is not yet confirmed by the medical specialists that one who had faced the coronavirus should not follow SOP or should not be careful about re-infection.
Medical specialists all over the world are working on this and they will recommend people to be cautious about their health after facing coronavirus.
The statement of the nurse of Sanford:
The nurse who had given an email to CNN did not want to show her name due to some reasons but he said to CNN that doctors and the nurses are supposed to be the heroes during this pandemic but how can we work with this attitude of the CEO and President?
Sanford Health is one of the largest hospitals in the US and the CEO of the hospital is not serious about the pandemic so how can the staff work?
The vice president of Sanford health:
The executive vice president of Sanford health said in a statement to CNN that the President and CEO statement was based on his personal experience and they did not show the opinions of the whole hospital.
He also used social media to defend the CEO and motivate the people who take care of their health during the covid-19 pandemic and follow the rules given by the government.
He also said on social media to maintain social distancing and wear a face mask.
